Flute Futures – Empowering Young Flutists Across Europe

Flute Futures helps young flutists (18–30) from across Europe take their music careers to the next level. Whether you’re just starting out, looking for international experience, or figuring out how to turn your passion into a sustainable career, this project gives you the skills, support, and opportunities you need. From boosting your digital and entrepreneurial know-how to building resilience and well-being, Flute Futures helps you grow as a musician and a professional.

At Flute Futures, you’re not just a participant—you help shape the experience. Through hands-on collaboration, creative workshops, and cultural exchange, you get to co-design rehearsals, peer-learning sessions, and activities that matter to you. The pilot programme in Aarhus, Denmark, brings together young flutists from seven countries for seven exciting days of masterclasses, ensemble workshops, festival performances, and practical professional training in career planning and project management.

Flute Futures is led by the European Flute Council in partnership with national associations and music festivals. The project helps you grow your skills, confidence, and professional network while sparking creativity, leadership, and international connections. The pilot programme in Aarhus is just the beginning—giving young musicians the experience and support to create their own projects and succeed in music education and performance across Europe.
