40 Years of the German Flute Society
The German Flute Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Flöte e.V.) is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a major musical event: on Saturday, 22 November 2025, the association invites everyone to the Flute Day at the Gasteig Munich, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The festive day offers a diverse program for flutists, music lovers, and anyone interested – from beginners to professionals. Visitors can look forward to concerts, workshops, masterclasses, a large flute orchestra, and numerous interactive activities.
A special highlight will be the festive gala concert in the evening, which will conclude the Flute Day and present the full variety of flute music at the highest level.
With this anniversary event, the German Flute Society not only celebrates four decades of dedication to flute culture in Germany, but also sets a musical landmark for the future.
Malcolm Pollock, Co-Chair of the European Flute Council, will deliver welcome words on behalf of the EFC at the opening of the event.
