FLUTE FUTURES
FLUTE FUTURES - GREATER MOBILITY FOR YOUNG FLUTISTS
The first EU mobility and festival for young flutists.
ABOUT
A seven-day European youth exchange bringing together 42 young flutists from across Europe for ensemble work, co-created performances and career-focused workshops in Aarhus. The programme combines artistic collaboration with training in digital skills, cultural entrepreneurship and well-being, while participants take part in the Danish Flute Festival and build lasting international networks.
The mobility of the participants (travel, accommodation and food) is fully financed by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme, ensuring equal access and inclusion for young musicians from diverse backgrounds.
As a pilot initiative, Flute Futures develops a replicable model for future mobility projects that support employability, creativity and intercultural exchange for young musicians.
6 students from 7 countries will be selected to participate in this mobility event funded by the European Union.
If you are aged between 18 and 30 and live in one of these countries, and if you are interested in joining this exciting project, send us your application.
Eligible countries:
Austria • Denmark • France • Germany • Norway • Spain • Sweden
Flute Futures helps young flutists (18–30) from across Europe take their music careers to the next level. Whether you’re just starting out, looking for international experience, or figuring out how to turn your passion into a sustainable career, this project gives you the skills, support, and opportunities you need. From boosting your digital and entrepreneurial know-how to building resilience and well-being, Flute Futures helps you grow as a musician and a professional.
At Flute Futures, you’re not just a participant—you help shape the experience. Through hands-on collaboration, creative workshops, and cultural exchange, you get to co-design rehearsals, peer-learning sessions, and activities that matter to you. The pilot programme in Aarhus, Denmark, brings together young flutists from seven countries for seven exciting days of masterclasses, ensemble workshops, festival performances, and practical professional training in career planning and project management.
Flute Futures, financed by the European Union, is led by the European Flute Council in partnership with national associations and music festivals. The project helps you grow your skills, confidence, and professional network while sparking creativity, leadership, and international connections. The pilot programme in Aarhus is just the beginning—giving young musicians the experience and support to create their own projects and succeed in music education and performance across Europe.
